La galerie Perrotin est heureuse de présenter, Dead Leg, la première exposition personnelle d’Elizabeth Glaessner à la galerie. L’exposition rassemble une quinzaine de peintures réalisées ces deux dernières années,et un ensemble d’oeuvres sur papier récentes.
Depuis qu’elle a obtenu son MFA in 2012, Elizabeth Glaessner a entrepris une recherche picturale qui, dans ces dernières années justement, semble avoir trouvé l’exact chemin qui convient à son épanouissement. Sa palette colorée s’est resserrée sur des bleus, des verts et des bruns ; ses sujets ont été recentrés autour de situations post-apocalyptiques mettant en scène essentiellement des femmes en prise au désarroi ; son style, lui aussi, s’est aiguisé et affirmé : les ambitions de sa peinture sont désormais précises et explicites.
