À l’occasion de Blow Out, sa seconde exposition individuelle à la
galerie, Genesis Belanger présente de toutes nouvelles sculptures,
ainsi que des oeuvres sur papier qui retracent en filigrane le récit
d’une déception amoureuse dans un contexte mondain. L’artiste a
élaboré trois mises en scène qui se répondent — un magasin, une
salle de banquet et une salle d’opération — , transformant ainsi la
galerie en théâtre surréaliste. Chacun de ces espaces est pensé
pour incarner l’une des multiples significations du titre.
