Perrotin Kids

February 11, 2023
GALERIE PERROTIN - Paris, France

Perrotin has been hosting regular workshops for children at its galleries in Paris, New York, Tokyo, and Shanghai since 2017.

Perrotin Kids offers guided tours for 6 to 12-year-olds, followed by practical workshops. Conceived and hosted by our gallery mediators and art education professionals, they explore the meaning of the works, as well as topics dear to the artists. The children are introduced to a variety of artistic universes and learn to create in an exceptional setting: an art gallery.

The workshops for children are designed around artists’ exhibitions and current events. Participants have the opportunity to try their hand at different media, such as painting, ceramics, and photography, supported by a team of specialized mediators and sometimes the artists themselves. At the end, the children can take their creations/souvenirs home with them.

Organized in partnership with cultural associations, Perrotin Kids is free and open to all, inviting children from various backgrounds to share a convivial and unique moment. Striving to make art accessible to all from a very young age, Perrotin Kids has been a great success, both with young art lovers and their parents and teachers.

Following the creation of Perrotin Kids in 2017, Perrotin gallery has continued to expand its cultural mediation activities: its guided tours in Paris, free after registration, have been a great success.
