The artist presents Air de Jeux at the Centre Pompidou, as part of his nomination for Marcel Duchamp Prize. The installation gathers a film trilogy shot in Paris, Madrid and Roma and large pedestal-like volumes, obelisks and statues become cushions and furniture for sitting, lying, contemplating and conversing. Through a series of interventions in the public space, Iván Argote plays with the collective perception and tests the particular relationship we have with history and its artifacts.
